Self-Archiving: Preprints and Postprints
1. Preprints
Ensayos Revista de Economía permits authors to deposit, preserve, and disseminate preliminary versions of their manuscripts in institutional repositories, subject repositories, preprint servers, academic platforms, or personal websites, before or during the journal's editorial evaluation process.
The dissemination of a manuscript as a preprint shall not constitute prior publication, nor shall it preclude its editorial evaluation and peer review, provided that the work has not been formally published and is not simultaneously under consideration for evaluation at another journal or academic publication venue.
When authors deposit or maintain a preliminary version of the manuscript during the editorial process, they shall indicate in the corresponding repository or platform that the work has been submitted to Ensayos Revista de Economía and is under editorial or academic evaluation.
Once the article is published, authors shall update the preprint record to include the complete bibliographic reference, the link to the journal's official version, and the corresponding DOI, when available.
2. Postprints
Ensayos Revista de Economía permits authors to deposit, preserve, and disseminate the accepted version of their manuscripts, known as the postprint, in institutional repositories, subject repositories, academic platforms, or personal websites.
The postprint corresponds to the manuscript accepted for publication after peer review and the incorporation of the journal's requested modifications. It does not correspond to the final published version, as it has not yet undergone editing, proofreading, typesetting, layout, and official publication.
Authors may disseminate this version from the moment of manuscript acceptance. The deposit shall expressly state that it is the accepted version and not the final version published by Ensayos Revista de Economía.
Once the article is published, authors shall update the postprint record to include the complete bibliographic reference, the link to the journal's official version, and the corresponding DOI, when available.
The final version published by Ensayos Revista de Economía constitutes the version of record and shall be recognized as the official source for citation, consultation, and academic reference purposes.
