Editorial Curation
The editorial history of Ensayos Revista de Economía spans from its first issue, published in October 1967, to the present day.
Three distinct editorial periods define the project, from its inception and development to its national expansion and current stage of consolidation and internationalization. This internationalization adheres to the standardized criteria of leading academic and scientific journals worldwide, while maintaining its commitment to open and free access, thus reinforcing its dedication to dissemination, continuity, and editorial rigor.
To commemorate the journal's 60th anniversary in 2024, the editorial team of Ensayos Revista de Economía, in coordination with the library staff of the Consuelo Meyer L'Epée Library, initiated a process to recover the complete collection of old physical issues and manually digitize them in PDF format. This process aimed to preserve the historical record of documents published in the journal prior to its current era.
Each of the sections corresponding to the three editorial periods of Ensayos Revista de Economía presents the manually digitized archives of the complete collection of previous editorial periods, based on the physical issues that have survived, and constitutes an effort aimed at ensuring that the historical richness of its contents serves as a guide to new generations in their search for the history of critical scientific thought applied to economics.
